Terms of Service

01Acceptance

By using Scanily you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

02Premium and payment

Premium is charged once for a fixed period — 30 days or 365 days — through Chargily. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge. When the period ends, Premium features stop and you may pay again if you want to continue. There is nothing to cancel.

Google Play and App Store builds are consumption-only unless store billing is explicitly offered in that build. They allow eligible customers to sign in and use an existing Premium entitlement, but they do not sell Premium or direct users to an external payment method.

Where purchasing is separately offered on Scanily’s website, the available price and payment methods are shown before purchase. Scanily does not store complete payment-card details.

03Cloud Sync

Cloud Sync is an optional Premium feature. When enabled, your documents are encrypted on your device before upload and stored on our servers only in encrypted form.

Scanily is not end-to-end encrypted. We hold your encryption key on your behalf, which means we are technically able to decrypt your documents. We do not access their contents except where necessary to operate the service or where required by law. This is described in full in our Privacy Policy.

We store encrypted files only for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account permanently removes all synced data from our servers.

04Refunds

We offer refunds within 48 hours of purchase if you have not used premium features during that period. Contact us to request a refund.

05Acceptable use

You may not use Scanily for illegal or rights-infringing content, spam, fraud, impersonation, deceptive signatures, attempts to bypass Premium or security controls, unauthorized probing, or malware. You are responsible for the documents you process and sync and for ensuring you have the right to use them.

06Your content

You retain ownership of documents, scans, signatures, stamps, OCR text, and other content you create or import. You give Scanily only the limited permission required to provide a feature you explicitly use, such as Cloud Sync or Send to Email. Scanily does not verify the legality, authenticity, or enforceability of a document or electronic signature.

07Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Scanily is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scanily is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

08Account deletion and termination

You may stop using Scanily at any time and can delete your account through Settings in the app or through the account deletion page on this site. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, or a material violation of these Terms.

09Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Algeria without limiting mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Disputes will be handled by the competent Algerian courts unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
